Le Reve: Background
Le Reve is the Las Vegas from the imagination of Franco Dragone, who previously worked on several Cirque du Soleil shows. The performance was inspired the painting of the same name by Picasso, which is proudly owned by the casino owner, Steve Wynn. The painting is of Picasso’s mistress as she sits in a chair and radiates love and lust. Le Reve the show explores the same emotions and desires.
Set in an aquatic stage in the middle of a circular theater, the Wynn Theater, the experience is completed by digital screens near the top of the dome that show every audience reaction and every single performance from all directions and angles. 87 performers swim, dance, and fly for 75 minutes, as love and lust are explored in front of 2,087 seats, all designed to be no more than 12 rows from the action of Le Reve.
Le Reve debuted on May 6, 2005 and has been going strong ever since. The acrobatic wonder and grace make the Las Vegas show a must see while in the city of sin. The unapologetic experience will infuse the senses with the help of the clowns dressed in white, who guide the audience through the show and provide a little comic relief during intermission.
