Arizona Diamondbacks Tickets
On March 31, 1998, the team’s major league match was played against the Colorado Rockies at Bank One Ballpark (now Chase Field) before a crowd of 50,179. Tickets for that game went on sale on the 10th January and had sold out before lunch. Sadly for the team and the thousands of Arizona Diamondbacks tickets holders, the Rockies defeated the team 9 – 2.
The team enjoyed tremendous success in their first five seasons. They won three division titles in 1999, 2001 and 2002, along with a World Series title in 2001. The team won 100 games in its second season and won the National League West. Unfortunately, they lost to the New York Mets in the NLDS. Despite their loss, Arizona Diamonds ticket holders were still pleased with the team’s performance.
The team also had post-season victories over the St. Louis Cardinals and the Atlanta Braves, which made the team advance to the World Series. There, they beat the New York Yankees 4 to 3 and became the youngest expansion franchise to win the World Series. This was only their fourth season of play, and all the games played that Series were won by the Diamondbacks. It was certainly no surprise that Arizona Diamondbacks tickets made it to the top of the “must have” tickets list for the baseball season. The team’s victory was celebrated by an estimated 300, 000 crowd at the team’s victory parade at the Bank One Ballpark on November 7th 2001. This happened to be the very first major professional sports championship for the state of Arizona. The Diamondbacks also recorded one of the worst losing records in all of major league baseball, with 111 games lost.
In the 2002 season, the team won the National League Division title again. Unfortunately, they were defeated by the St. Louis Cardinals in the NLDS. The Diamondbacks had dropped to a shameful 51-111 record by the 2004 season, the worst record in Major League Baseball. This was pretty disappointing to everyone with Arizona Diamondbacks tickets.
In 2008, the team proved to all Arizona Diamonds tickets holders, baseball fans and the league that they are back and ready to win. They won the opening game of the season on the 31st of March against the Cincinnati Reds and found themselves with the best record in Major League Baseball, 20 – 8, by the beginning of May. The team also led the National League West by 6.5 games. Everyone with Arizona Diamonds tickets knew that the team truly meant business. Although the team lost the first series in May against the New York Mets, they continued to lead the National League west even though they were only 47 – 48 at the All-Star break.
The team’s manager was replaced by A. J. Hinch on May 8, 2009. Changing team managers might not mean much to Arizona Diamondbacks tickets holders, but so far the new team manager has achieved great results. The team has done pretty well this season. With a lot of hard work, they could actually win the World Series again.
