Arizona Diamondbacks Tickets
The Arizona Diamondbacks, a.k.a. the D-backs, are a professional baseball team based in Phoenix, AZ and play in the MLB’s National League West Division. They have played in Chase Field (which is also called the “Snake Pit)”, formerly Bank One Ballpark, since 1998. The team was founded in 1995 and began playing baseball in 1998. Their mottoes are “The future is now” and “Anybody, anytime.” Their mascot is a bobcat named D. Baxter; their victory song: “Arizona” by the Scorpions; their theme song: “D’backs Swing” by Roger Clyne and the Peacemakers; and their rivals: the Colorado Rockies.
In early September 2006, the team announced they were redesigning their uniforms for the 2007 season. Their uniforms had gone unchanged since their first season and some people were not happy to hear the news. The unique “A” design stayed unchanged except for the colors; the stylized snake-like “D” logo was only slightly redesigned; the lettering on the jerseys, though, was completely redesigned. The team replaced the purple and traditional Arizona colors of copper and turquoise to a reddish color called “Sedona Red,” Sonoran Sand and black. The new uniform was unveiled in November 2006 by some of the team. On September 28, 2007, the D-backs beat the Rockies to get a position in the playoffs. They got the NL West title after the San Diego Padres beat the Milwaukee Brewers on September 29. They played the Chicago Cubs in the NL Division Series and swept them, earning themselves their first berth in the NL Championship Series since 2001. They played the Rockies (ironically enough) in the NLCS; and made quite a few blunders. They finally ran out of momentum against a team who just didn’t want to lose and were swept by the Rockies.
The Arizona Diamondbacks are a professional baseball team formed in 1995 in Phoenix, Arizona, began play in 1998 and are in the West Division of Major League Baseball's National League. They have played in Chase Field, formerly Bank One Ballpark since 1998. Their uniform colors are sedona red, black, sonoran sand, white and the logo is a black "D" in the shape of a snake. The other logo is an "A" with one leg of the "A" alternating red and black triangles to suggest a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake. D. Baxter the Bobcat is the teams mascot. Their spring training facility is Tucson Electric Park, Tucson, AZ. The Diamondbacks are also called the D-backs and their owners are Jeff Moorad, Ken Kendrick and the menager is Bob Melvin. In their first five seasons of existence, the team won three division titles in 1999, 2001, and 2002 and one World Series in 2001. Later they won 100 games in their second season to win the National League West in 1999. The Diamondbacks finished the 2005 season with a record of 77 wins and 85 losses, so this was a 26-game improvement over 2004, five games behind the San Diego Padres, good enough for second place in the woefully weak NL West. In the regular season in 2007, they posted the best record in the NL with 90 wins and 72 losses.
