Boston Red Sox Tickets
Boston Red Sox tickets are on sale to cheer on a team desperate to put last season behind them, hoping to emerge as AL East-division champions at the end of the 2012 MLB season schedule. Last season, the baseball team added another disturbing chapter to the tortured past of the Red Sox nation. TheSeats has the Boston Red Sox baseball tickets for the new season at Fenway Park, where this revised roster is preparing to end the postseason drought at two seasons.

If ever an implosion could be heard from space, it certainly emanated from the sports bars in Boston. There, last fall, the Red Sox closed out a season with a fall from grace that was only 0.4% possible as of September 3. Twenty-five days later Boston blew a lead in the ninth inning against the last place Baltimore Orioles. The end result was a general cleanse, sending manger Terry Francona and GM Theo Epstein away in favor of new blood, manager Bobby Valentine and GM Ben Cherington.
As spring training begins, there are more questions looming than the effectiveness of the front office. Rather, Boston baseball worries revolve around the pitching, specifically the starting rotation and the middle relief. The fan base is content with Andrew Bailey taking over for Papelbon as the closer and they are sure Mark Melancon is very capable set up man. However, beyond Jon Lester and Josh Beckett, there is little assured in the starting rotation. No one is quite sure which Clay Buchholz is real, last season’s struggling starter or the previous’ stud. There are mounting concerns of a depleted bullpen with maybe Daniel Bard and Alfredo Aceves moving from the pen to the rotation. No one is sure what will come of Daisuke Matsuzaka as he returns from Tommy John surgery.
The Boston Red Sox also need to be concerned with injuries. Last summer the Red Sox offense may have put up the best offensive numbers in the MLB, but the DL robbed them of key players at the most desperate of times. They begin the 2012 season down Carl Crawford and Dustin Pedroia. They do return potential triple-crown first baseman Adrian Gonzalez and the surprising center fielder Jacoby Ellsbury. Ellsbury was never much of a power hitter, yet he belted 31 in 2011. I hardly expect that same number in 2012. Rather, look for the more typical 50 steals. The one improvement that may carry over is the .376 on base percentage, making him the perfect traditional leadoff hitter.
It is early, but there is reason to find hope for redemption in 2012 in the hallowed halls of Fenway Park. They have a prolific offense and could have enough pitching by the time the official pennant race begins to topple both the hated Yankees and the tiresome Rays.
Boston Red Sox History
The Boston Red Sox have been playing since 1901, enjoying the first two decades before slinking into a deep dark depression for the next 80 seasons. They have endured historic collapses like an epidemic, but the fans at Fenway Park have remained faithful. That faith was paid nearly in full with two World Series titles in the 21st century. This baseball team hopes to remain among the best in MLB, playing championship baseball throughout the rest of the century. TheSeats has Boston Red Sox tickets for the new season at Fenway Park for the regular season schedule.
