The Milwaukee Brewers, a Major League Baseball team based in Milwaukee, WI, are part of the National League Central Division. The team started in Seattle, WA as the Pilots for 1 season, then changed their name and moved to Milwaukee. The team was part of the American League from their inception in 1969 (they were an expansion team) through the 1997 season, then they changed to the National League. In an attempt to keep the Milwaukee Brewers from relocating to a bigger TV market, Braves minority owner Bud Selig, a local car dealer, created “Teams Inc.” dedicated to local control of the team. He successfully kept the Braves’ majority owners from relocating the team in 1964, but just delayed the inevitable. The team moved to Atlanta after the 1965 season and Teams Inc. then turned its focus to getting Major League Baseball back into Milwaukee.

The Pittsburgh Pirates are a Major League baseball club founded in 1882, as a charter member of the American Association and transferred to the National League in 1887. They are from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and they play in the Central Division of the National League, and are five-time World Series Champions. The Pirates are known as the Bucs or Buccos. Their uniform colors are black, gold, and red accent and the logo is pirate caricature superimposed on crossed baseball bats. The teams mascot in 1995 was Buccaneer, the Pirate Parrot is from 1979 to present and the Captain Jolly Roger is from 2006 to present. Their current owner is Robert Nutting, president & CEO is Frank Coonelly, menager John Russell and general menager is Neal Huntington. The teams Spring Training Facility is McKechnie Field, Bradenton, FL. The team finished 85-75 and seemed ready to compete for a pennant in 1988, but failed to advance to the World Series each time, the second two losing closely contested seven-game series to the Atlanta Braves. The Pirates opened a new stadium in 2001, PNC Park and due to its simple concept and strategic usage of the Pittsburgh skyline, the stadium is frequently regarded as currently the best park in baseball history.

The owner of the team is Liberty Media and the menager is Bobby Cox. The teams uniform colors are navy, scarlet, white and gold and the logo is the script word "Braves" above a tomahawk. Their spring training facility is the Ballpark at Disney's Wide World of Sports in Lake Buena Vista, Florida. The Braves have won 16 divisional titles, nine National League pennants, and three World Series championships, in 1914 as the Boston Braves, in 1957 as the Milwaukee Braves, and in 1995 while in Atlanta and are the only MLB franchise to have won the Series in three different home cities. They were one of the most successful franchises in baseball, from 1991 to 2005. In December 2005, the former team owner Time Warner announced that he is selling the team and in February 2007, after more than a year of negotiations, Time Warner agreed to a deal and sold the Braves to Liberty Media. The team finished April 2007 with a 16-9 record, but struggled during May, finishing 14-14 and on June 24, they fell to .500 for the first time in the 2007 season, but rebounded by winning the next 5 games.
