Why is it up to Rondo and Garnett? Rondo, much like Tony Parker, has emerged as the main protagonist for Doc Rivers. Rondo is scoring 15 and dishing out double digits assists. He may be a suspect shooter taking way too many three point shots, but he is still an incredible distributor who also happens to play phenomenal on-the ball defense. Garnett still scores but he also mans the middle, making life difficult for players like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. If he is not able to deter James and Wade from taking it to the rim, then the Celtics will not last long.

Paul Pierce and Ray Allen still have a role to play. Pierce has to up his shooting percentage, but he still capable of hitting a hot streak. Allen has been moved to the starting lineup not because Avery Bradley has lost his way, but because Bradley is injured.
