Buffalo Bills Tickets
2007 Recap
The Buffalo Bills finished second in the AFC East with a 7-9 record, failing to make the playoffs. The young team gave up 22.1 points per game while only scoring 15.7.
The Bills struggle on offense led to a quarterback change mid-season from J.P. Losman to Trent Edwards while the rookie RB Marshawn Lynch continued to develop throughout the season. The team needs a big receiver, but will probably use the 11th pick in the first round to fill holes on the offensive line or in the secondary. The Bills have had a busy off-season so far, signing seven players, including LB Kawika Mitchell from the Super Bowl champion Giants.
Team History
The Buffalo Bills were one of the original teams in the AFL and came over after the NFL-AFL merger. The team was successful in the AFL, winning two titles in 1964 and 1965, but has yet to win a title in the NFL. The Bills came close though, reaching the Super Bowl as AFC Champions three times in a row from 1990 to 1992, losing to the Redskins, Giants, and Cowboys.
Those years were powered by a prolific hurry up offense featuring RB Thurman Thomas, QB Jim Kelly and WR Andre Reed. The team eventually faded in the AFC East soon after the three Super Bowl losses, giving rise to the New England Patriots.
