Green Bay Packers Tickets

You do not have to be a Green Bay Packers fan to realize what a bright future they have in front of them. Having ended last season at 11-5 (6-2 home, 5-3 away), and dropping a 51-45 Wild Card game to Arizona, there is much for Packers faithful to look forward to in 2010, especially the continued growth and success of quarterback Aaron Rodgers!

As only the second team in NFL history with 650+ regular-season victories, Green Bay’s 654 wins stand as proof of being one of football’s most historic and proud franchises, and probably the main reason why they play for one of the most loyal and dedicated fan bases in the history of pro sports. That being said, you can count on the Pack management team to fill the few minor holes they need to in order to once again become a Super Bowl team.

Rodgers has already staked his claim as one of the best signal-callers in the league and has some great weapons around him to support the claim. Wide receiver Donald Driver (70 REC 1,061 YDS, 6 TD) broke the all-time Packer record for career receptions (647), while also setting a new franchise mark with his sixth straight 1,000 yard season, while Ryan Grant led the running attack with 282 carries, 1,253 yards, and 11 touchdowns, and Greg Jennings (68 REC, 4 TD) topped the receiving charts with 1,113 yards from the tight end position. Between these four stars, the Packers had a 4,000-yard passer, two 1,000-yard receivers, and a 1,200-yard rusher for the second consecutive season, marking the first time a team has accomplished this in NFL history.

If the offensive line can remain healthy and play as they did during the second half of last season, look for Rodgers to approach the 5,000 yard and 40 touchdown marks. Given he passed for 4,434 yards last season – second-highest in team history behind Lynn Dickey (4,458), threw 30 touchdowns, and had a passer rating of 103.2 – only the second Packers quarterback with a season passer rating of 100+ other than Bart Starr (that’s right, Brett Favre never did it), the 5,000/40 club may be getting a new member!

The one real question for the 2010 Green Bay Packers may be if the defense can stay healthy and continue to force as many turnovers as they did 2009. Those questions may begin and end with cornerback Charles Woodson (9 INT, 4 forced fumbles, 3 TD) whose three interception-touchdowns tie him for most in a season in club history, while his 8 career defensive touchdowns as a Packer are a franchise record. Besides the obvious ball-hawking skills of Woodson, it was linebacker Nick Barnett who led the Pack in tackles (105), solos (82), and assists (23), in addition to providing 4 sacks and 10 tackles for loss, while also having broken up 7 passes. Rounding out the leader board was another linebacker, Clay Matthews, with a team-leading 10 sacks for the sixth-leading tackler. Additionally, safety Nick Collins added 13 pass breakups and 6 interceptions in the secondary, A.J. Hawk was second in tackles (89 – 67 solo, 22 assists, and fan-favorite LB Aaron Kampman pitched in 3.5 sacks even though he missed seven of the last eight games of the season. This is one returning crew to be reckoned with.

This is one team which is definitely poised to take the entire league by storm! With the exciting and ever-improving Aaron Rodgers pacing the offense, Green Bay Packers tickets are something any true fan has got to have.
