The Ducks played in their franchise's 1000th regular season game on January 16, 2007 and on March 11, recorded their franchise's 1000th point with a 4-2 win over the Vancouver Canucks, which improved their franchise all-time record to 423-444-155, 1001 points.
Then they won their first Pacific Division title in franchise history on April 7, when the Vancouver Canucks defeated the second-place San Jose Sharks. Teemu Selanne signed a 1 year contract with the Ducks on January 28, 2008 and they finished the 2007–08 season with them and won nine out of their ten games. After defeating the Ottawa Senators in 5 games in the 2007 Stanley Cup Finals, The Ducks are 2006-07 Stanley Cup champions.
