The Boston Celtics are once again dominating the Atlantic Division and the Eastern Conference. The team is well on its way to another playoff berth with a record of 23-6. The Celtics are winning games by 9 points a game and are actually better right now on the road than they are at TD Garden. Boston is simply keeping the Era of the Big Three going with a healthy Kevin Garnett lurching in the middle and using his length and athleticism to make this one of the best defensive teams in the NBA again.

The Celtics are sharing the basketball as the big three (Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett, and Paul Pierce) get another year older and another year further from their prime. Rajon Rondo, and Kendrick Perkins are averaging over 10 points a game. Rondo in particular is playing remarkably well, averaging a near double-double in points and assists, despite the offseason issues concerning possibly trading the young point guard. Perkins is actually doing a more than admirable job on defense in the post, leading Boston in blocks with 2.03.

Rasheed Wallace has been a welcome addition to the bench. He is capable of scoring, rebounding, and spreading the floor (despite his current abysmal three-point percentage his reputation makes a psychologically capable shooter to the defense). Tony Allen, though always heavily criticized, is still a solid guard off the bench. He and Eddie House are able to run the offense when Rondo leaves or score in bunches once Allen goes to the bench.

This Boston Celtics team seems poised for another run at the championship. They will have to contend with an Orlando Magic team that may actually be better than the team that lost in the NBA Finals a season ago and the always dominant Cleveland Cavaliers. They already running away with their division and a top three seed in just the first third of the season, meaning there is a potential for a group with as much veteran savvy as this to fall asleep toward the end of the season.
