Calgary Flames

Calgary Flames Tickets

The Calgary Flames tickets were founded in 1972 as a professional Canadian ice hockey team based in Calgary, Alberta. The Calgary Flames tickets are members of the NHL or National Hockey League. This is the third team to represent the Canadian city of Calgary in the game of professional ice hockey, following the Calgary tigers, and the Calgary Cowboys . The Calgary Flames are one of two NHL teams franchises in Alberta the other one being Edmonton Oilers. Both these teams are famous for their ongoing rivalry which has also been termed as the Battle of Alberta. This is why every time both these teams meet the events are often heated and the games are worth every dollar.

The team was originally called the Atlanta Flames since it was formed in 1972 in Atlanta, Georgia. However later the Flames had to move to Calgary in 1980 where they played their first three seasons at the Stampede Corral stadium in Calgary prior to moving over to their home arena in Pengrowth Saddledome which was originally called the Olympic Saddledome. The Calgary Flames became the first Calgary team since the Tigers completed the Stanley Cup in 1924. Later in 1989 the Calgary Flames had another big victory when they won the first and only Stanly Cup. The Calgary Flames later had an unexpected run in 2004 to the Stanley Cup Finals and hence captured the imagination of the then leading Canadian Prime Minister Paul Martin who dubbed them as the “Canada’s team” and later the Red Mile celebrations were made famous nationally by fans.

The Calgary Flames tickets also own a franchise of the Western Hockey League called the Calgary Hitmen. In 2007 they also opened a sports bar and entertainment called the Flames Central located on Stephen Avenue, Downtown Calgary. There is also a Flames Foundation though which the Calgary Flames tickets have donated over $29 million to various charities throughout the Southern Alberta area since the arrival of the Franchise.

The Calgary Flames tickets unlike the Calgary Cowboys of the WHA that folded in three years were an immediate success with the crowd in Calgary. The Cowboys could only manage to sell 2,000 tickets for that season in their final campaign of 1976, the Calgary Flames tickets sold over 10,000 both full as well as half season tickets in the 7000 seat stadium called the Stampede Corral. This was the beginning of their successful relationship with the city of Calgary that welcomed them with open arms.

There are quite a number of very interesting Calgary flames tickets games coming up soon especially the one on October, 1st when the Vancouver Canucks try to take on the favorites Calgary flames tickets. The roasters of both these teams show experience and it look like they are evenly matched so it will be interesting to see how the game unfolds.

Later on the 3rd of October the Montreal Canadians will be taking on the Calgary Flames. This is a good opportunity to purchase some really valuable Calgary Flames tickets as this has all the makings of a big game.
