The Columbus Blue Jackets tickets are a Columbus, Ohio Ice hockey team who are also members of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Columbus Blue jackets tickets were formed as part of the expansion team of 2000. They also qualified for the Stanley cup Playoffs in 2009.

When the Cleveland Barons disappeared in 1978 the state of Ohio was without a hockey team for over 22 years. They didn’t host an NHL team and NHL fans were desperate for a team. However later in 1997 Ohio entered an expansion bid along side many other cities. The voters were also considering the construction of a new arena which as a major step which had to be taken towards approval. The name “Blue Jackets” was originally chosen in favor of Patriotism and pride with is reminiscent with the state’s Civil War history as well as the city of Columbus. Ohio was the one state that at the request of Abraham Lincoln raised ten regiments when the Civil War broke. There were also a number of civil war heroes that the state produced. Columbus it self hosted a number of large military bases. The Columbus Blue Jackets tickets team logo is actually a very stylized version of the Ohio flag. They however used a different logo, and it became Reebok’s primary logo for 2007-08 seasons. There is also an alternate logo which is a Civil War cap that has crossed hockey sticks.
The latest season of the NHL has seen two trades so far which is has played to their benefit. The first was of Jason Williams which was acquired from the Atlanta Thrashers and Clay Wilson was sent to the Thrashers. They were also involved in the first major deal termed the 2009 NHL Trade Deadline as they traded Pascal Leclaire for Antoine Vermette from the Ottawa Senators. This was a benefit for both ends as Williams managed to score 28 points during his initial 36 games on the Jackets side and Vermette scored 11 points in his first fourteen games.
The Columbus Blue Jackets tickets will go up against the Nashville Predators on September, 19 2009. This is a big game and something to look forward to. Minnesota Wild will be facing the Columbus Blue Jackets on September, 21, 2009. Both these games are going to be one of those that the home team will be going up against tough odds.
