Dallas Stars Tickets
Dallas is currently in fourth place in the Pacific Division, tied for 10th in the Western Conference, and tied for 16th in the league, with 55 points based on their 22-19-11 record. In addition to their solid home record of 14-5-5, the Stars also hold the distinction of most points off of overtime losses, with eleven, so it is really their road record (8-14-6) and ability to win more overtime matches that needs major improvement in order for Dallas to seriously compete.
Behind the top two scorers, center Brad Richards – leads the team with 58 points and 44 assists (14 goals), and leftwing Loui Eriksson – who is atop the Dallas goals column with 21 (48 points, 27 assists), the Stars have four more players with 27 or more points. Leftwing James Neal (38 points), center Mike Ribeiro (33 points), defenseman Stephane Robidas (31 points), and leftwing Brenden Morrow (27 points) have all been backing them up and providing additional firepower as needed.
The goalkeeping has been sufficient for the Stars, with number one Marty Turco (15-14-8, 2.88 GAA, .905 save %) and backup Alex Auld (7-5-3, 3.01 GAA, .895 save %) needing the offense and defense to put together complete games, in the same night, in order for them to be even more successful and have records that coincide with their play.
If this team can turn around its road record, win some overtime games when needed, and come up with some complete outings, the Dallas Stars can once again be one of the better teams in the Western Conference, and one which may even scare a few playoff teams come March. No matter what, this is a team that will always leave everything on the ice, so tickets for the rest of the 2009-2010 season are a must for true hockey entertainment in the Lone Star state.
