Ottawa Senators

Ottawa Senators Tickets

The Ottawa Senators tickets are a Canadian professional ice hokey team based in Ottawa, Ontario. The Ottawa Senators tickets are members of the Eastern Conference and the National hockey League also known as the NHL. The home arena for the Ottawa Senators is the spacious Scotiabank Place which can accommodate up to 20,500 spectators which was originally called the Palladium and then the Corel Centre.

The Ottawa Senators tickets were originally established by the famous real estate developer named Bruce Firestone. The team is the second in the NHL franchise to use the name Ottawa Senators. The first time it was used was in 1883. The team back then won 11 Stanley Cups.

On the 6th of December 1990 after two years of public campaigning by Firestone in order to get the NHL back to Ottawa the NHL finally awarded the new franchise. The new team began playing in the 1992-93 season. The team was later sold by Firestone to Rod Bryden in 1993 probably because of its area development as well as it financing issues and later the team was sold in 2003 to Eugene Melnyk.

The Ottawa Senators tickets had a slow start as they finished at the very last in their league for the initial four seasons. However since their initial set backs the teams have managed to become one of the most successful teams in the NHL. When you look at the standings and the qualifying rations for the Stanley Cup the Ottawa Senators tickets have a really impressive history with 11 playoffs during the past 12 seasons. In 2003 the Ottawa Senators won the President’s Trophy and later in 2007 the Ottawa Senators tickets won the Prince of Wales Trophy. These statics show that this team has an impressive line up of players and that they have worked really hard to reach to where they are today.

Prior to a game versus the New York Rangers the Ottawa Senators tickets unveiled their new jersey on November 22, 2008. The new jerseys had a slogan ‘Back in Black’ which referred to the black ‘away’ jerseys they wore during their initial first seasons. The new jersey is black with other traditional colors such as red and white. The primary Centurion figure of their logo was also moved to the shoulders of the jersey. The front of the Ottawa Senators jersey has the words ‘SENS’ written in white with a red and gold trim as their latest primary logo.

The Ottawa Senators tickets are going up against the New York Rangers again on the 3rd of October 2009. The New York Rangers are going to be hard to beat this time round so the Ottawa Senators need to really pull out one for the fans on this one. If the history of the Ottawa Senators is anything to go by chances are that the Senators are going to have an upper hand here.

On the 10th of October the Ottawa Senators tickets are going to face the Atlanta Thrashers. This match has been in the making for some time and is going to be a very interesting match of the season.
