Toronto Maple Leafs Tickets
The Maple Leafs are currently in last place in the Northeast Division with 44 points based on their 17-26-10 record, which also leaves them ahead of only Carolina in the East, Edmonton in the West, and the third worst team in the league.
The good news is that Toronto has ten players with 20 or more points at this point in the season, and that is with offseason acquisition Phil Kessel (36 goals last season) having only played in 41 games, and looking to make an impact as a scorer once he gets fully acclimated again after offseason shoulder surgery. Kessel will most likely get back on track over the second part of the season, as snipers always do.
In the meantime, defenseman Tomas Kaberle is atop the scoring charts, leading Toronto with 42 points and 37 assists, in addition to 5 goals. Leading the Leafs in the goals column is leftwing Alexei Ponikarovsky with 18 to go along with his 15 assists, which ranks him third on the team with 33 points. With eight other players having scored over 20+ points, including Kessel, this team seems to have the makings of a very balanced offensive attack, if they can get the right mix together for the rest of the season.
A major area of improvement needs to come in goal, where Toronto has used three different tenders – none of which have provided great results. Number one and number two have pretty much shared the duties evenly, with Jonas Gustavson (9-11-8, 2.94 GAA, .902 save %) playing in 29 and Vesa Toskala (7-11-2, 3.64 GAA, .874 save %) seeing time in 24, while Joey MacDonald (1-4-0, 3.20 GAA, .892 save %) has seen action in six contests. At least one of these guys must step up and take ownership and responsibility for guarding the goal if Toronto has any chance to improve during the second half of the season.
Toronto fans are amongst the most passionate and supportive in the history of the NHL, so tickets for the Maple Leafs are a must have item for any true supporter. Get some now, take your seat, and cheer your team to turn things around in time for the playoffs come March.
