Red Line Chemistry is the reincarnation of the band earlier known as Penumbra. The original members of the band Penumbra after disbanding played around Kansas City, and after sometime the members met and decided to work together again. The band regrouped, restructured, roped in a new lead singer and started the band Red Line Chemistry in August 2004. The band with a new image, new ideas and a restructured sound, influenced by the likes of the old and the new bands such as; Guns n Roses, Alice in Chains, Motley Crue, Green Day, Velvet Revolver, Avenged Sevenfold, and many more is all set to take the music world by a storm. The band also hopes and plans to bring back the cutting attitude of the old school rock star lifestyle.

Red Line Chemistry has beautifully and smoothly switched from the previous project, and at the same time has retained its fan base and also has added new ones across the Midwest. The band faced no hiccup after their transition and was in fact welcomed by the new as well as their old fans with great enthusiasm and love. Within no time after their formation the band shared the stage with such national bands as; COLD, MachineHead, Pigmy Love Circus, and 30 Seconds to Mars. The band's songs were regularly aired in different radio stations throughout the Midwest

"Red Line Chemistry's 2006 maiden album, Chemical High and a Hand Grenade, sports professional production, crisp dual-guitar riffs and neo-grunge harmonies. The album was an instant hit and was appreciated both by the critics as well the fans alike. The songs from the album have been on rotation in all the major radio stations of the Midwest. In fact, the album has just not captured the interest of Midwest but also of the whole nation. With a mixture of old and new influences, the band is all set to take the world by their music and bring back the raw attitude of old school rock. The band after the resale of the album hit the road, their concerts attract a huge amount of old and new fans alike. The band has performed with many bands of national importance and has also played in fest such as; Kansas City's Rock Fest 2007 and The Warped Tour.
