The Texas A&M Aggies is the athletic teams at the Texas A&M University. The university is located in College Station, Texas. This institution was established in the year 1871. All the athletic programs of the university compete in the NCAA division I. The team is a member of the Big 12 Conference.

The Texas A&M Aggies football team participates in the NCAA Division I- FBS. The team was founded in the year 1894 and they have entered their 114th year of football competition in 2008. Earlier the Aggies were a member of the Southwest Conference. Since 1996, they have been a member of the Big 12 Conference and compete in its South Division. They have won one national title in 1939 and nineteen conference titles over their entire history. The program was voted #1 by the AP Poll after the 1939 season. Mike Sherman currently coaches the Texas A&M Aggies. He became the head coach of the team in November 2007. Prior to coaching the Aggies, he was the head coach of the Green Bay Packers.

The Texas A&M Aggies plays their home games at the Kyle Field. The stadium was inaugurated in the year 1927 and it is the largest football venue in Texas. Apart from the Aggies football program, it is also the venue for various Texas high school football playoff games. It plays host to the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets annual Parent's Weekend Review and Final Review and the Cross-Town Showdown high school football game between Bryan Vikings and the A&M Consolidated Tigers.
