The Boston College Eagles football team represents the collegiate football of the Boston College. The Boston College is located in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. The college was established in the year 1863 and it was Boston's first institution for higher education. The athletic teams of the college are known as the Boston College Eagles.

The Boston College Eagles football team competes in the Atlantic coast Conference of the NCAA Division I. The Eagles started off in the collegiate football tournament in the year 1892 and soon they emerged as one of the six major college football programs in New England. They have been a successful team through out the history of the tournament. The Eagles were the winners of the 2007 ACC's Atlantic Division championship. Some of the notable players of the team included, Marc Colombo, Doug Flutie, William Green, Matt Hasselbeck, Chris Hovan, Dan Koppen, Tom Nalen and Damien Woody. Jeff Jagodzinski is the current head coach of the Boston College Eagles football team. He had joined the team in 2006 and he led the Eagles to eleven wins including an ACC Atlantic Division championship and a victory in the Champs Sports Bowl.

The Boston College Eagles football team plays their home games at the Alumni Stadium. It was first opened in the year 1915 as the Alumni Field. The original field could only accommodate a total of 2,200 spectators. On September 21, 1957, the Alumni Stadium after renovation was inaugurated with a seating capacity for 26,000 attendees. Before the 1994 season, the stadium again underwent a major renovation that had increased the seating capacity to 44,500 spectators.
