Texas Longhorns Tickets
The Texas Longhorns men's basketball team is one of the sports teams in the University of Texas at Austin. The university is situated in Austin, Texas and it was established in the year 1883.
The Texas Longhorns men's basketball team is a member of the NCAA Division I tournament and they compete in the Big 12 Conference championships. A Scotland native, Magnus Mainland formed the team in the year 1906 and they played their first ever game on March 10 in the same year. Magnus Mainland played in the team and also coached the team in its early years. In the inaugural season, the Longhorns showed good performance, where they won seven of the eight games. The team occupies the 17th rank in the NCAA Division I with its total victories. It has appeared in the NCAA Tournament a total of 26 times, three times in the NCAA Final Four and the NCAA Regional Finals (Elite Eight) seven times.
The men's basketball team of the University of Texas at Austin played their home games at the Frank Erwin Center. The multi-purpose arena was inaugurated in the year 1977. It is a drum like structure for which reason it is often referred to as the Drum or the Superdrum. Apart from the men and women's basketball program of the University of Texas at Austin, the Drum also hosts the Austin Wranglers of the af2.
The arena was named after former University of Texas at Austin Board of Regents member, Frank Erwin. It was originally known as the Special Events Center. It can facilitate up to16, 755 spectators at any given point of time.
