The Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team is an intercollegiate team in the Wake Forest University. The Deacons compete in the NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision. The team is also a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The Wake Forest University is located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. This University was established on February 3, 1834. All athletic programs of the university are known as the Demon Deacons.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team has won both the ACC Atlantic Division Title and the ACC Conference championship in 2006. It was ranked in the AP Top 25 during the 2006 season. The team was headed by then coach, Jim Grobe during that season. He led the team to a record number of eleven wins in one season with a perfect 6-0-road win record. Grobe was awarded the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award and the AP Coach of the Year Award in the year 2006. Grobe coaches the Deacons at present. He has signed a 10-year contract with the team on February 27, 2007.

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons football team plays its home games at the BB&T Field. It was inaugurated on September 21, 1968 and it can seat up to 31,500 people at times. It was originally known as the Groves Stadium but, after the BB&T bank negotiated a 10-year deal in September 2007, it was renamed the BB&T Field. BB&T Field has also been home to the minor league baseball team, the Winston-Salem Warthogs.
