Finian’s Rainbow is the story who comes to America with a stolen pot of gold hell bent on making himself a millionaire and providing a life of comfort for his daughter, Sharon. The hilarious tale takes the audience to the imaginary state of Missitucky to the town of Rainbow Valley where Finian McLonergan has purchased a piece of property that lies within the shadows of Fort Knox.

McLonergan believes that the fort has special powers that will grow his stolen pot of gold into millions more. All the while the leprechaun from whom he stole the gold, Og, is on his tail, desperate to get the pot back before he turns human. Finian leaves his daughter in the dark and the family meet a corrupt, bigoted U.S. Senator who schemes to get the gold for himself.

Unknowingly disastrous wishes are made, but in the end of the raucous comedy and political satire, all ends well. Sharon finds love, Finian gets his fortune, and Og comes to terms with being human.
