La Cage Aux Folles Tickets
La Cage aux Folles is the Broadway hit inspired by a French play by Jean Poiret and the European 1978 film. The musical, with a book by Harvey Fierstein and lyrics and music by Jerry Herman, is best known as its Hollywood adaptation, the Bird Cage starring Robin Williams and Nathan Lane.
The play sets the story of a long-time gay couple meeting their son’s fiancé’s conservative parents for the first time. Georges, the son’s biological father, is the owner of a popular drag club. Albin, the star of the drag show, has been romantically involved with Georges for decades and has become like a second father to the son.
Initially Albin is to disappear for the evening the son is bringing his fiancé and her conservative parent’s home, but he manages to show up dresses in drag hoping to trick the conservative parents.
La Cage aux Folles allows the comedy of deception, double meanings, and misunderstanding follow through as the stakes keep being raised and opposing social values are squared off.
La Cage aux Folles tickets for the 2010 Broadway revival will be available through The Seats once tickets become available for the general public. We will have a terrific inventory of seats throughout the seating chart at incredible prices.
