Race (Play)

Race (Play) Tickets

David Mamet is returning to Broadway in person in the fall of 2009 to direct his newest play, Race. Not much about the plot is known, only that the play deals with the oftentimes highly controversial subject of race.

Fortunately much more is known about the production itself. Race is set to debut at the Ethyl Barrymore Theatre in Broadway, making this the third consecutive season to feature a Mamet work. The previews will start on October 26th and the official opening is scheduled for November 17th.

James Spader, Richard Thomas, and Kerry Washington are set to star in the very first production on any stage of Race. Jeffrey Richards, Jerry Frankel, and Steve Traxler are producing the play and award-winning scenic designer Santo Loquasto is reunited with Mamet as well.

Race tickets will be available through The Seats for this David Mamet premiere at the Ethyl Barrymore Theatre.
