Renée Fleming born on the fourteenth day of February 1959 is an American soprano having skills in opera and jazz. She is generally considered to be one of the world's leading lyric sopranos. Her phonetic beauty of tone and lively stage presence has made her a worldwide outstanding performer in opera houses and concert halls. She was born in Indiana, Pennsylvania, and was brought up in Rochester, New York. Both her parents are voice teachers. Fleming's got her first major break in the year 1988 when she sang the Countess at the Houston Grand Opera in The Marriage of Figaro. In the year 1989, she gave her debut with the “New York City Opera” as well as the “Royal Opera House”, Covent Garden. In the year 1991, she gave her Metropolitan Opera debut. And then in the year 1997, Fleming at the Opéra Bastille sang her first Manon that entrusted on her glowing reviews. As a youngster, she had a tendency to her popular music and was a great fan of talented Joni Mitchell as compared to others. Besides standard operatic repertoire, she loves performing new music, and Broadway show tunes including other popular genres. She also had the golden opportunity to sing in the world première of The Ghosts of Versailles by John Corigliano' in association with the Metropolitan Opera as well as first performances of Floyd's Susannah in the Lyric Opera of Chicago, and in the world première of A Streetcar Named Desire, André Previn as Blanche with the San Francisco Opera.

She started her musical education at the State University of New York situated at Potsdam in the Crane School of Music. While she was at SUNY-Potsdam, she started singing with a jazz trio in a bar called Alger's. She was invited by the jazz saxophonist Illinois Jacquet on a tour with his big band but she continued with her graduate studies from the “University of Rochester's Eastman School of Music and Juilliard.”

Some of her popular music recordings are as such the release of a number of popular music recordings with the Polygram and Decca labels. She also made her appearance felt on the soundtrack of the film “The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King” in the year 2003 in which she sings in Sindarin. She also has an amazing sense of humor. She made her appearance in "Sesame Street" where she sang very lively.
