The Pageant was originally known as The Colleague, but Zach Teisberg purchased the bar from Burt Urich in 1970 and changed the name. The owner used his favorite club when he was going for his undergraduate degree at at Washington State University as the inspiration for the design of the bar he runs now. The Pageant has established itself as the most chill club in town to listen to concerts and stop in for a drink.
