The Wiltern is located at the Southeast corner of Wilshire Boulevard and Western Avenue in Los Angeles, California. It is a combined entertainment and retail complex that includes the Pellissier Building, some adjoining retail shops and the Wiltern Theater. It is a world-class live entertainment venue that is a unique example of Art Deco architecture. The Wiltern Theater originally opened on October 7, 1931 with the screening of the film “Alexander Hamilton”, starring George Arliss.

The Wiltern was renovated a number of times and on October 15, 2002, it made a grand reopening with a rousing performance by Bob Dylan. The theater has been a host to the Los Angeles Orchestra, the American Ballet Theatre and the magician David Copperfield. It has also seen some amazing musical performances that include Rufus Wainwright, Wonder Girls, Ray Davies, Paul Simon, Marilyn Manson, Incubus, James Brown and the Rolling Stones.

The Wiltern is a major landmark complex in Los Angeles. The seating capacity at the theater is around 2,200. The year 2008 will witness some great entertainers at the theater such as Brian Regan, Robyn with DJ Jason Bentley, KT Tunstall with Paddy Casey, Bowfire and Beirut with The Brunettes, Nylon Summer Music Tour and Jim Gaffigan.
