The WaMu Theater is located at the Madison Square Garden in New York City. It was formerly known as the Theater at the Madison Square Garden and was inaugurated in the year 1968. Before that, it was also known as the Paramount Theater and prior to that as the Felt Forum. It has been a major entertainment venue in New York City for a long time.

The WaMu Theater has been a host to some entertaining events such as performances by Neil Young, Melissa Etheridge, Kanye West, Van Morrison, Elton John and Simon & Garfunkel. It has also hosted many award ceremonies that include VH1 Divas Live, the Daytime Emmys and the Essence Awards. The WaMu Theater also hosts the Cirque Du Soleil production 'Wintuk'.

With a seating capacity of around 5,600 people, the WaMu Theater is a famous venue in New York City that continues to entertain the local people. It recently hosted a performance by Chris Rock with Mario Joyner. Some of the upcoming events in the year 2008 include performances by Robert Plant & Alison Krauss with Sharon Little, Melissa Etheridge, Ricky Gervais and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
